Devotional Thought: Software Updates

He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise for our God.
Many people will learn of this and be amazed;
they will trust the Lord. – Psalm 40:3 CEB
How many times have you turned on your smart phone or computer and had a message pop up saying a software update is required? No matter if it is for an app on a phone or operating system for your computer these updates can be important. They help fix problems that may keep you device from running at it’s peak performance.
Having daily time in God’s word is one way to update you operating software. When we spend time with God it helps us function to the best of our ability. My hope for you and me is that everyday God will put a new song in our mouths and it becomes easier to place our trust in Him.
