Prayer Request
October 4, 2010
Hey ya’ll,
In case you haven’t heard, our Sr. Pastor, Jimmy Cason, is having bypass surgery in the morning. He is a great guy and I have faith that everything will go great and we will become stronger as church. I want to ask you to say a prayer for him and our church when you read this. We will be having a prayer vigil on Tuesday, October 5. So if you read this in time please swing by. Here is the official announcement:
The SFUMC Sanctuary will be open from 7am to 12pm tomorrow (Tuesday) morning for a prayer vigil for Pastor Jimmy during the time of his surgery. (Just in case you haven’t heard– Jimmy will undergo bypass surgery in the morning) The south side — Trellis Garden side — red door to the Sanctuary will be open, please enter and exit through this door. Please come as you are able to lift up our pastor. Let’s surround Pastor Jimmy and all those involved in his surgery with prayer. Feel free to forward this email to all who might be interested. Thank you!!
Feel free to send Jimmy an encouraging message on his facebook, or emailing him jsacason@aol.com You can also send cards to the church.

I like Jesus
September 24, 2010
We are in an really awesome two part series called I like Jesus.
In this series we are taking a look at how we can move from simply clicking the “I like” button to actually moving deeper in our faith. This past week talked about working out our salvation. Can’t wait for this week! Sunday Night Surge is every Sunday Night from 5p.m. – 7p.m. at Statesboro First United Methodist Church.
You can also listen to last weeks talk.
