Here is a calendar for the many exciting events happening in September. It will probably change slightly. At Hagan United Methodist Church we will be deciding next week when our chicken plate sale will be. Leave a comment if something needs to be changed or added. Blessing of the Backpacks

This Sunday, Aug. 3rd, at Daisy and Hagan United Methodist we are asking for all children and youth to bring their book bags to church. We will have a special moment in the service for the children and teachers to come down. There will be a moment of prayer for the upcoming school year and a blessing of the backpacks. We will also have a small Jesus fish to clip on the backpack.
We did this a couple of years ago and it was really meaningful. What are some other ways we can celebrate the start of the school year and support our students and teachers?

New Series of Sermons: When in Rome

This Sunday at Hagan and Daisy United Methodist Churches we will be starting a new series of sermons for the month of August called When in Rome. The series is based on a letter written 2000 years ago. This letter was written by the Apostle Paul to the church in Rome. Even though this letter is ancient it has application for our lives today. I hope you will join us. In the words of one of my pastor friends, “We will save a seat for you.”
